We are looking for Housekeepers.
Housekeeper Job Summary:
- Follows cleaning schedule (daily, weekly etc.) as outlined; sweeps, mops with wet or dry mop floors of rooms and bathrooms and halls as directed and buffs them as needed.
- Strips, waxes and buffs all floors on a regular basis as directed.
- Cleans assigned areas, furnishings, and fixtures according to established housekeeping procedures. Disinfects when necessary and polishes where required.
- Empties, cleans and relines waste baskets.
- Cleans bathrooms (Resident, Private, Public) cleans and disinfects all fixtures and walls as directed.
- Washes sinks, tubs, toilets and mirrors and replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Cleans all horizontal surfaces daily or as required, removing dust and dirt and using disinfectants.
- Performs terminal cleaning duties in resident room, according to established procedure (See Housekeeping Manual) when resident has been discharged, transferred or deceased and prepares room for new occupant.
- Reports any hazardous conditions.
- Reports supply and equipment needs to supervisor for replenishing.
- Cleans nurses’ station, utility rooms, shower rooms, T.V. room and kitchenette daily.
- Keeps cleaning cart fully supplied and clean.
- Monitors and adjusts environmental concerns such as: lighting, temperature, furniture placement, noise, etc.
Housekeeper Qualifications:
Ability to read, speak and understand English to follow instructions. On the job training will be provided. Must be pleasant and courteous to residents and staff.
Housekeeper Physical Demands:
Stands, lifts and walks most of the day. Turns, stoops, crouches and reaches in such tasks as high and low cleaning. Lifts mop buckets for dumping. Pushes and pulls mops, dusters, vacuums and buffing machines.
