Unarmed Security Supervisor – Strategic Security Corp – Boneville, GA

Strategic Security Corp. is currently seeking to staff several government facilities with Unarmed Security Supervisors in McDuffie County, GA and the surrounding regional counties. The positions will be full time and part time, paying a rate of $14.29

Strategic Security (SSC) is a nationwide leading provider of security guard services, executive protection, bomb dog, intelligence, consulting, investigative services. SSC has an immediate job opportunity for an Unarmed Security Officer. As an Unramed Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for conducting unarmed foot patrol within a Government, corporate, retail or fast food environment, while providing superior service to customers, visitors and employees. Additional responsibilities include composing reports, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, controlling access and egress, deterring criminal activity and misconduct, and performing other duties as needed.

Functional Responsibility MAY include: Responsible for administrative and coordination activities in support of the security services being provided; Coordinate with customer personnel to ensure the timely identification, processing, and deployment of cleared guards, surveillance technicians, and other security personnel; all routine aspects of the access/egress processes to ensure compliance with agency security; and access control policies and procedures. If applicable, MAY make several tours per shift of the interior and/or exterior of the facility. Monitor building alarms and reset if applicable (maintenance personnel should be notified prior to any system resets). Scan mail and packages received before they enter the building.

A senior level Unarmed Guard. This Unarmed Security Supervisor must be able to perform all duties listed above, in addition to, reviewing shift logs and reports, providing written and oral instructions to deployed personnel, and reviewing preliminary investigations conducted on shift and/or similar tasks as assigned. This individual may also be responsible for supervising security staff.

Oversees all deployed personnel on a site where security services are provided. This Unarmed Site Supervisor/Sargent must be able to perform all duties listed above, in addition to; advises senior guards in physical security project planning, development, implementation, and monitoring. Oversees and reviews the application of physical security standards to functional control designs and security programs and makes recommendations as necessary. Coordinates and cooperates with other agencies, private firms, and individuals on physical security policy and standards. Reviews and authorizes requests for funding of physical security improvements. Supervises the preparation and processing of the appropriate documentation and correspondence for original personnel security investigations and clearances. Reviews completed forms to ensure accuracy in accordance with applicable policy and directives. Maintains personnel security files and suspense logs for all phases of the personnel security process, coordinates fingerprinting and submission of unclassified material. Oversees data entry into the personnel security records. Supervises and evaluates Personnel Security Coordinators. Computer aptitude preferable.

In addition to providing physical security, this role will participate in SSC’s G.E.T. principals. Greet, Engage and Thank individuals for their business or patronizing the location. These duties include:

  • Welcome customers, guests, shoppers, victims, customers, associates, tenants in a warm, gracious manner inviting them into the location.
  • Engage by being proactive, examples below.
  • Proactively scan for potential threats stemming from criminal activity or life safety issues.
  • Proactively seek out and develop rapport with customers by assessing what is important to them and addressing it
  • Proactively stay current with the latest information as it pertain to your site and area that may include but not limited to: crime trends, terrorist threats, area shops, restaurants and attractions, including brand profiles, merchandise collections, promotions and current news.
  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
  • Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
  • Identify and warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles
  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits. May be required to utilize hand held wands or walk through magnetometers.
  • Prevent individuals from theft of company property
  • Investigate and prepares reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
  • Liaison with local law enforcement
  • Share that information with customers or any of above when interactions with them require it
  • Guide customers to their destinations or available open lines or other key points of interest
  • Anticipate and answer customer inquiries. Know you job and local area
  • Facilitate various guest services, including transportation and area attraction inquiries.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues, concerns, or complaints; relay pertinent information to management
  • Ensure job site area with your area of control is clean and professional at all times.
  • Assist with basic first aid
  • Make emergency notifications.
  • Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
