Summary
General Laborers work in various areas and perform a variety of jobs and tasks required to maintain smooth operation and to assist when specific needs arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures proper handling of bulk product including dumping (blending) and filling totes, and ensures preparation of totes to be dumped (blended) or filled.
- Ensures that the Cold Room and Day Room are cleaned and stocked with the proper supplies in a safe, timely and skillful manner in order to meet operational standards.
- Ensures safe and proper operation of the tote dump.
- Assists with changing grader screens as needed.
- Ensures proper ticketing and rework of tickets in a timely manner
- Ensures that chemicals are handled and used safely and efficiently.
- Performs all functions of the stripping duties as needed.
- Performs all functions of assigned hand pack duties.
- Ensures knowledge of equipment and able to turn equipment on and off while employing equipment lockout/tagout procedures as needed.

- Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in a manner to successfully perform the job duties.
- Must be willing to work any shift (6am-6pm/6pm-6am).
- Must be able to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and counting).
- Must be able to perform basic computer skills (turn computer on, use a mouse, save a document, and open a file or program)
- Must have manual dexterity in both hands.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in a safe and proper manner.
- Must be able to use up to 50 pounds of push/pull force needed to push/pull barrels weighing up to 450 lbs. using a rolling device.
- Must be able to maneuver in close quarters and climb stairs and ladders.
- Must be able to stand on concrete floors for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in extreme environments: hot or cold temperatures and wet and slick floors.
- Must be able to work with and around hazardous chemicals wearing appropriate PPE, includes but no limited to, full wetsuit, boots, chemical gloves and face shield or goggles.
