Temporary Bus Driver – Enterprise Residential, LLC – Baltimore, MD

Job Summary

Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of community vehicles and the safe transportation of residents.

Job Responsibilities

THIS IS AN ON-CALL / AS NEEDED POSITION

• Consistently and genuinely demonstrate the HEROES principles of HELPFUL, ENGAGED, RESPONSIVE, OUTSTANDING, EXCELLENCE and SUCCESS in all activities and interactions.
• Drive residents to appropriate destinations.
• Provide excellent customer service while achieving or exceeding the company’s goals and objectives.
• Complete vehicle maintenance logs in order to ensure safe transportation for community.
• Fuel vehicles as needed keeping accurate fuel and maintenance records.
• Maintain appearance of the interior and exterior of vehicle.
• Assist residents as needed in and out of vehicles, ensuring safety at all times.
• Provide individual service support to residents such as assistance with packages, groceries, etc.
• Assist all departments with other duties as needed and/or assigned by your supervisor.
• Provide transportation for multiple communities, splitting duties as needed or assigned.
• Communicate any identified resident concerns/issues to the Resident Services Coordinator or site-specific Property Manager in a timely manner.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with all applicable safety and local jurisdiction regulations.
• Operate vehicles appropriately with respect to driving conditions such as associated with inclement weather.
• Schedule transportation efficiently in order to maximize availability of service to residents.
• Maintain vehicles in the safest possible operating order with strict adherence to preventive maintenance guidelines.
• Participate in and attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Ability to access all areas of the community.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Possess and maintain a valid in-state driver’s license and clean driving record with no points.
• Complete annual medical and vision evaluation and secure certification in compliance with DOT guidelines.
• Have served at least one year of experience in a customer service-oriented role.
• Be at least 21 years of age at the time of employment.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong customer orientation to older adults for positions at Senior Housing Communities.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all associates.
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy.
• Ability to communicate, comprehend, read, and write in English.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Possess proficient navigational skills.

Work environment While performing the duties of this job, the associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The associate is frequently exposed to heat and risk of electrical shock, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. Proper Personal Protective Equipment will be provided and is required to be used. Noise level in work environment is moderate. Seat belts are provided and must be used at all times. The associate occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet, hot, humid, and/or extreme cold conditions.
