Assists attorney with management of routine case files
Prepares non-complex pleadings, documents, correspondence, and affidavits
Conducts basic research such as title searches, estate checks, asset location and skip tracing
Reviews files, mail, and standard legal documents to gather information and locate missing or incomplete records
Contacts client, debtors, attorneys, and courts for further instructions, status updates, and additional information and documentation
Negotiates payment arrangements and sale or return of assets/collateral for attorney/client approval
Processes and follows-up on post judgment executions
Confirms the service of subpoenas, notice of depositions, and other legal documents to witnesses and parties to action
Files pleadings and documents with court clerk, as directed
Monitors hearing docket and schedules attorney coverage, as needed
Forwards accounts to out of town counsel and serves as liaison between client and attorney
Arranges for payment of court costs, local counsel fees, publication costs, etc.
Reviews,notates, and distributes mail and incoming work to appropriate parties
Performs data entry to update notes on account
May take and process debtor payments
Maintains current knowledge of general legal procedures, deadlines and procedures for appropriate documents, office equipment, and software in general use in the legal community
Complete all required training applicable to assigned position
Additional duties as requested or required
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday from 8am -4:45pm
