R+L Global Logistics is seeking a high performing Refrigerated Product Manager. The ideal candidate will have operational expertise in Refrigerated truckload and LTL related shipments and the vision to use that knowledge creatively to identify and target customers to expand the service offering.
Refrigerated Product Manager Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop strategy and market the company’s services to generate new business relationships, increase revenue growth, and present solutions to meet customer’s needs
- Create an organizational business development plan strategy that successfully allows the organization to meet its monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals and initiatives
- Develop and drive a team specialized in sharing refrigerated knowledge to our customers base to increase shipments, gross margins and expand the overall profit ability of the service offering
- Procure preferential and competitive pricing from partners and carriers to drive volume and business development growth
- Management of existing business accounts and continuously building customer rapport
- Deliver clear expectations to leadership as to the direction your team will perform
- Assist in setting high standards of performance for all team members
Refrigerated Product Manager Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Transportation, or adequate level of work experience preferred
- Candidate must possess operational expertise in refrigerated equipment
- Candidate must be able to effectively price and communicate solutions to customers and team-members
- 3+ years experience in a supervisory or management role leading high performance teams
- 5+ years experience in refrigerated services
- 3-5 years full truckload third party logistics experience in both sales and operations
- Prefer experience in all modes: dry van, expedited, flatbed, oversized loads, refrigerated, intermodal shipments
- Prefer experience in transportation systems such as McLeod and/or CargoWise but not required
