The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Lead Lab Scientist. Position will perform all assigned chemical, biological, and serological laboratory analyses. Involved in general education, training, and problem solving for the health department laboratory staff.

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience, Education, and Training

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry or a related science field;


AND

  • Three years experience working in a laboratory performing analytical work.


PREFERRED

  • Recent experience in a clinical laboratory.


Licensing/Certification

  • If operating motor vehicle, must possess current Missouri Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and maintain proper personal insurance coverage.
