Classes typically run Monday-Friday 8 am- 2:30 pm and clinical hours are from 6 am-2 pm.:

Job Summary:
The attributes required of a Nursing Assistant Candidate is to provide care and concern for those who may be unable to physically or mentally care for themselves. They must possess patience, empathy and unwavering compassion for people. Practice and “hands-on” supervised training. After completion of the Nursing Assistant Class, you will be eligible for employment consideration to be hired as a Nursing Assistant, you must be able to provide legal documentation establishing your identity and eligibility to be legally employed in the United States, employment references, and be at least 18 years of age.

Essential Functions:
The primary responsibility of a student that is selected for the NA Class is to acquire the knowledge, skills and certification as a Nursing Assistant (NA) by participation in the facility’s planned educational program. This program consists of classroom and clinical instructions. Upon completion of the NA program a student is prepared to take the state examination in order to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Qualifications:

  • Able to attend all class and clinical sessions held within a 5-6 week period.
  • Be willing to undergo a criminal background.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
