The Therapist will provide phone and/or video sessions to clients seeking outpatient services who are experiencing varying levels of difficulties due to life situations or mental health concerns. The Clinician chosen for this position will be working remotely using advanced tele-health software which will be provided at no cost to the clinician. Clients will vary in ages and issues, but all presenting issues will be non-violent and non-severe in nature. Providers are able to choose their populations and hours are flexible. For all licenses, Portrait will do all needed marketing and credentialing on insurance panels. Positions start part-time and have the ability to grow to full-time. Positions are available immediately. We hire Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) and provide supervision at no cost.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Provide high quality, compassionate and ethical outpatient mental health therapy to clients as scheduled.
- Actively participate as a positive member of the clinic environment.
- Maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities.
- Complete all recommended continuing education requirements.
- Stay current with updated research and best practices.
- Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary.
- Secure client information per HIPAA standards.
- Maintain case files within electronic health record (EHR) that are up to date.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skill in working with a variety of cultures.
- Skill in working independently and implementing time management strategies.
- Ability to provide necessary self-care.
- Ability to demonstrate positive team interactions with other clinic staff.
- Awareness of appropriate timing for referrals.
Education and Experience:
- A master’s degree or higher in a mental health-related field.
- Hold an active license in the state of Illinois.
