We are looking for a licensed
CDL A or B driver for this position, with a good record of safety. Your deliveries would happen during the day, keeping you home and off the road at night. Applicants need to be available Monday – Friday, for 5:00 am start – 5:00 pm end which varies according to route. Occasional Warehouse work is part of the position. Warehouse work involves receiving and organizing inventory, picking and palletizing orders, and performs other warehouse duties as assigned.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Safe, efficient, reliable pick-up and delivery of product to customers and from vendors.
  • Follow compliance with Management, CCF and DOT regulations regarding transportation, fleet safety and other Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Follow SOPs for employee safety, food safety and inventory / warehouse management.
  • Loading and unloading of inventory on and off trucks.
  • Utilize office technology, email and cell phone to stay in communication with CCF team.
  • Accurately and efficiently pick orders and assemble pallets for delivery; receive incoming vendor deliveries and put inventory away.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist Warehouse Lead and Warehouse Manager with other duties as assigned / needed.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Michigan Commercial Drivers License (CDL A or B) is required with at least 1 year of commercial driving experience, 2 years or more preferred.
  • Valid DOT medical card.
  • Ability to pass drug screening and any other DOT required testing.
  • Ability to maintain a safe driving record that meets DOT requirements.
  • Excellent customer service skill, attention to detail, and reliability are all a must.
  • Food-related experience a plus.
  • 1 year experience of warehouse order picking and / or receiving preferred.
  • Ability to work in an environment that demands safe, accurate and efficient work.
  • Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment.
  • Close attention to detail, accuracy and personal pride in one’s work are necessary.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly, climb in and out of a truck, stand, stoop, and bend throughout a driving shift.
  • Ability to be on one’s feet throughout a warehouse shift, including standing, walking, stooping and bending.
  • Pushing, pulling, grasping, reaching, kneeling.
  • Visual acuity to operate vehicles and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to maneuver a manual pallet jack with a pallet on it weighing up to 2,000 pounds.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work involves a variety of environments: office, warehouse, and outdoor weather. Exposure to a variety of temperatures in the warehouse, freezers, and coolers, and around building grounds is possible – personal protective equipment is provided.
