Digital Operations Analytics: Healthcare Industry Data Architect
Job description
This role will be working across different project teams providing data architecture and design expertise on machine learning and big data projects. Will provide thought technical leadership, vision, proven design patterns and practical implementation for automated, data-driven healthcare solutions leveraging cloud platforms. The scope of work includes machine learning, analytics, data integration, data warehouse, data lake, automation, and other emerging cloud-based data services and technologies.
- Work with client business stakeholders to understand their business issues and formulate technology solution and architecture propositions;
- Define data architecture and elaborate on business and technical benefits and return of investment
- Provide hands-on application database design and development expertise to build the prototype of proposed solution or architecture
- Lead, plan and design the overall data architecture vision of cloud-based intelligent technology solutions
- Work closely with existing Cognizant Digital Operations teams to deliver value
- Contribute to data-driven use case definition and creative thought leadership
- Apprising the stakeholders about project(s) status on a regular basis
Required Skills and Experience
- Solid background in computer science and data analytics;
- Strong experiences in design patterns for large and complex data warehouse, big data systems, and data marts
- Minimum of three years of development/architecture in Microsoft Azure ecosystems, Amazon AWS or similar cloud platforms
- Knowledge of R and Python or similar industry tools in data science and machine learning applications
- Experience in DevOps and Agile
- Experience deploying and operating systems into a production Cloud Native Environment.
- Knowledge with Healthcare Systems and Healthcare Information Exchange protocols like HL7 and FHIR
- Knowledge of industry standard Robotic Process Automation tools is a big plus
- Experienced in hands on development of data insights from discovery/exploration, with visualization and end user output a plus (BI tools and reporting)
- Thorough knowledge of the “first steps” of data driven insights regarding correlations, statistics and relationships, quality, gaps and exploratory metric ID and creation
- Strong to expert knowledge in SQL, Excel and both operational and relational databases
- Very good interpersonal skills and positive attitude
- Independent and result-driven mindset
- Experience working as part of an onshore/offshore model is preferred
- This is an onshore/U.S.-based role, working across other offshore/India-based resources, as well as tele/video conferenced interactions with other U.S. and/or near shore team resources
