The RN or LPN is a direct care role. It is important this individual demonstrates empathy, respect and consideration for the dignity and self-esteem of all resident participants and fellow staff while providing house management services. It is, also, important that the HM models and promotes a lifestyle that displays a positive attitude, initiative, responsibility and independence. It is the professional and ethical responsibility of all staff to adhere to accepted ethical and behavioral standards of conduct and continue professional development. It is, also, expected that staff fosters and promotes a team atmosphere, where giving help and support to both residents and other staff is customary.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with admissions of new residents,
- Assist with daily rounds of residents’ homes and individual rooms looking for health safety issues.
- Interviews Clients and records their medical history and physical condition.
- Plans, manages and monitors Client care according to each Client’s needs.
- Interviews Clients and records their medical history and physical condition.
- Performing ongoing assessments of residents’ physical and mental health
- Participates on the treatment team staff
- Explaining procedures and treatment protocols to resident
- Obtains Client vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
- Performing other duties such as collecting samples, supervising medication, ensuring Client comfort, and reporting the status of their Clients to supervisory personnel.
- Provides routine care for Clients in line with their scope of practice.
- Reviews medical charts.
- Communicates with Clients and their families.
- Assists with Client comfort.
Qualifications for Position:
- 2 years of experience as a licensed LPN.
- Solid Understanding of Mental Health issues, especially Substance Use Disorder.
- The selected candidate must have excellent home management skills.
