Alliance Credit Union is looking for a service pro with a high degree of energy and capable of providing consistently courteous and professional service under challenging circumstances. This is a high profile member service position, and often member attitudes are established by how they are treated by individual tellers. The teller position requires attention to details and the ability to handle large amounts of cash with accuracy. The teller must be able to be trusted and possess the ability to be reliable and able to communicate openly with management. Honesty and a strong work ethic are necessary in this position. The teller must exhibit the ability to follow written procedures for processing transactions and must understand the need for dual controls at all times.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Deliver the Alliance Credit Union brand promise and brand experience while exhibiting a courteous and professional attitude at all times.
2. Recommend appropriate credit union products and services.
3. Adhere to all work schedules as assigned.
4. Deliver “Plus One” service as outlined in our “Raving Fans” philosophy.
5. Adhere to all teller daily work procedures as outlined.
6. Process transactions in a fast, friendly, and – above all – accurate manner.
7. Maintain confidentiality of Alliance Credit Union operations and its Member information.
8. Attend all Alliance Credit Union meetings as required.


Skills:

 Accurately perform financial transactions for members.
 Balance a cash drawer and cross-sell additional products and services to meet members’ needs.
 Candidates must be able to multi-task and have strong organizational/communication skills.
 Basic Computer Skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, internet applications, and other Alliance Credit Union operating systems as required.
 Good problem solving skills, expressing the ability to question, listen and understand member financial needs.
 Strong time management skills with regard to: attendance, processing transactions, organization, interaction with members, and prioritizing assigned duties.
 Basic consumer math skills are mandatory
 Develop rapport with members.
 Diagnose member needs and recommend appropriate Credit Union products and services.
 Remain organized and equipped to carry out the duties of the job.


Knowledge:

 General knowledge and understanding of the Banking Industry, specific to the Credit Union differential advantage.
 General knowledge to accurately perform financial transactions for members, balance a cash drawer and cross sell additional products and service to meet members’ needs.
 General Knowledge of Banking and Credit Union regulations specific to transacting and conducting Alliance Credit Union Business.
 Full knowledge and understanding of all Policies, Procedures governing the Teller position.
 Specialized product knowledge of the Alliance Credit Union Core Products list and generalized knowledge of all Alliance Credit Union products and services.
 Full knowledge of Teller Daily Work Procedures.
 Knowledge of Security procedures.
 Knowledge and understanding of related jobs and operations within the organization.
 Follow the Alliance Credit Union code of business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, maintaining ethical behavior at all times.

 Promote good member relations by consistently providing premier member satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
 Have a developed rapport with the member base, greet by/use name, have knowledge of account ownership, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude.
 Demonstrate confidence in the Alliance brand when working with members and prospective members.
 Maintain a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all member business confidential and be able to work under pressure.
 Desire to take direction and be willing to seek counsel of supervisor as necessary.
 Reliable attendance adhering to the scheduled work time as provided by your branch manager.
 Treat all Alliance employees with understanding and consideration supportive of team objectives and goals and contribute effectively to your team.
 Maintain professional business conduct and appearance during business hours and any time you interact with Alliance Credit
Union Members, employees, or properties.
 Participate and support team members by working as a cooperatively functioning group who are friendly, upbeat and enthusiastic about working with the public.
 Willing to work within a fast paced business environment.
 The ability to show empathy (where necessary) to diffuse and resolve member dissatisfaction.

 Willing to take direction from immediate supervisor and any Alliance Credit Union manager/leader as requested.


Work Conditions:

 Retail banking branch setting.
 Some travel required for meetings and training.
 This Position is subject to assignment to any Alliance Credit Union location.
 Overtime may be required.
 Saturdays are required.
