Job Title: Behavior Technician
Reports to: BCBA, Clinical Supervisor or Program Supervisor
Job Overview: Provide 1:1 play-based behavioral health treatment to clients in the home, school, clinical, and community settings

What you’ll do:

As a Behavior Technician, you will:

  • Follow and implement interventions as advised by a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Use play and creativity to motivate children and individuals to learn new skills
  • Travel to client homes and other locations to provide treatment services.
  • Interact with and build rapport with clients and their families
  • Manage challenging behaviors and follow client-specific behavior intervention plans
  • Collect data on various behaviors through an online data system
  • Complete daily session notes
  • Participate in monthly/bi-monthly meetings and annual trainings
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients
  • Help change lives of individuals and families affected by developmental disabilities

What we will look for:

  • Caring, patient, creative and organized individuals who enjoy playing with children
  • Experience working with children diagnosed with developmental disabilities is a huge plus and very desired!
  • Motivation to be a team player and begin a new career
  • Experience working with telehealth and central reach is a huge plus!
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Psychology, Education, or related field experience) (required)
  • Must be technologically savvy; have consistent access to and use of a smart cell phone or tablet (required)
  • Drive a minimum of 20 miles from your location
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, orally and in writing with all levels of staff, the general public and the people we support
  • Ability to work in the home, school, clinical, community and online telehealth settings
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, and sit on the floor and play with children
  • Spanish speaker or foreign language speakers are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Consent to and successfully pass a background check and livescan (required)
  • Receive and successfully pass a TB test (required)
  • Proof of vaccination history to confirm the following vaccines: Varicella (Vaccine/Immunity), Hepatitis B / Hep B Declination, MMR, Pertussis (required)
  • CPR/First Aid Adult, Child, and Pediatric Certification (must be obtained within first 30 days) (required)
  • Be legally available to work (required)
  • Copies of academic transcripts and degrees (required)
  • Valid drivers license and car insurance (required)
