The Washington Woodworking Company is a union architectural millwork shop and has been in business since 1897. Our quality is noticeably higher than any other millwork company around. We are actively hiring experience veneer stitchers.
Summary:
Examine veneer for defects and grade quality. Operate splicing and jointing machines by cutting veneer into proper dimension to be spliced into larger sheets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all procedures, rules and regulations
- Inspects Veneer sheets for imperfections and defects
- Operate machine by feeding veneer sheets into the machine to trim and cut proper dimensions
- Operate machine by feeding jointed sheets in the splicer to form a large sheet of veneer
- Clean Lay up machine
- Record footage of Veneer
- Adjust machine to perform properly
- Check dimensions and matching of sheets to ensure quality
- Work effectively with limited supervision
- Communicate and perform effectively, both independently and in a team environment
- Other duties as assigned
