SRH is searching for a new Manger Security Services to join the team!

The Manager Security Services at Skagit Regional Health is responsible for managing security services for Skagit Regional Health; a multi-location integrated healthcare system. Facilitates a safe, secure and supportive Environment of Care and minimizes unnecessary environmental stressors for our patients, visitors and staff. This role requires regular interactions with patients, visitors, staff and clinicians in highly diverse and complex situations. Interacts with local law enforcement to provide information, clarification of events and coordination of emergency protocols. Responsible for review, drafting and oversight of all SRH Security Services policies/procedures and contracts.. Some travel is necessary to fulfill daily duties to Skagit Valley Hospital, Cascade Valley Hospital, Clinics and Outbuildings.

Essential Functions:

Coordinates the day-to-day operational activities of the SRH Security Service function to ensure compliance with key performance indicators.

Manages the hospital’s electronic camera system.
Compiles data and reports quarterly to Safety Committee. Responsible for the management of the Security Services budget (Capital and Operations).

Manages system-wide Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training. Training presents principles, techniques, and skills for recognizing, reducing, and managing violent and aggressive behavior in the workplace.

Responsible for the effective hiring, orientation and training of assigned supervisor and staff. Performance management including coaching, performance improvement, evaluations and terminations in accordance with organizational and departmental guidelines and policies.

Complete performance evaluations in an accurate and timely manner. Schedule staff at levels that are adequate to meet organizational and departmental standards.

Accurately manage staff time card(s) utilizing the electronic time keeping system in accordance with organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Approves time cards in a timely manner.

Provides safety and security services which includes; patrolling grounds, parking lots, buildings, securing entryways and exits, etc. to effectively address potential conduct issues, violations of policy, check for property damage, inspect safety issues, inspect certain safety features such as fire extinguishers or water valves, respond to all codes, address trespassing concerns and provide assistance with out of control patients. Ensures appropriate incident documentation and communication.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Minimum of five (5) years security, military or police experience required.
Minimum of one (1) year Healthcare facility security experience required.
Minimum of two (2) years Management experience required.
Experience in Project and Budget Management preferred.
Self-defense experience is preferred.

Valid WA State Driver’s License is required. International Association Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic and Advanced Certifications required. IAHSS Supervisor Certification preferred.

Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to formulate a plan of action, carry it out with control and apply crisis intervention and de-escalation skills. Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Good physical condition to walk, run and lift as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00 – $48.00 per hour
