PRIMARY FUNCTION:
We are searching for a skilled Journeyman Electrician who will be responsible for servicing and/or installing a variety of approved wiring methods for distribution of electrical light, heat, power, radio and signaling utilization systems in existing or new commercial buildings under construction.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Promote positive leadership and positive work environment
- Bending pipe, pulling wire, terminations
- Interpret drawings and communicate drawings to apprentice’s
- Shadows a Foreman to continue understanding and learning the trade
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment
- Test equipment and motors
- Operate equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Quote materials
- Reports to the jobsite Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm and overtime as necessary
- Maintains constant communication with the Journeyman, Foreman and Superintendent
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have a current Texas Journeyman license
- 4-year minimum experience in commercial service
- Must be a good communicator, verbal and written
- Must be self-motivated, hardworking and reliable
- Must have general knowledge of electricity and the desire to advance
- Able to work in fast paced environments and accomplish tasks in timely manner
- Ability to regularly lift 25 pounds
- Work well in a team environment
- Electrical tools required
- E-Verify, background record, physical and drug screen required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
