Journeyman Electrician – Service 01 – Kilgore Ind. – Houston, TX

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

We are searching for a skilled Journeyman Electrician who will be responsible for servicing and/or installing a variety of approved wiring methods for distribution of electrical light, heat, power, radio and signaling utilization systems in existing or new commercial buildings under construction.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Promote positive leadership and positive work environment
  • Bending pipe, pulling wire, terminations
  • Interpret drawings and communicate drawings to apprentice’s
  • Shadows a Foreman to continue understanding and learning the trade
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment
  • Test equipment and motors
  • Operate equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner
  • Quote materials
  • Reports to the jobsite Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm and overtime as necessary
  • Maintains constant communication with the Journeyman, Foreman and Superintendent

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must have a current Texas Journeyman license
  • 4-year minimum experience in commercial service
  • Must be a good communicator, verbal and written
  • Must be self-motivated, hardworking and reliable
  • Must have general knowledge of electricity and the desire to advance
  • Able to work in fast paced environments and accomplish tasks in timely manner
  • Ability to regularly lift 25 pounds
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Electrical tools required
  • E-Verify, background record, physical and drug screen required
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
