MedRite Urgent Care is currently hiring Medical Receptionists to schedule, register, and do follow up calls with patients.
Medical Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone.
- Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors and patients.
- Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collect copayments and verify insurance eligbility
- Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff and patient information.
- Liaise between medical departments with discretion and professionalism
- Adhere to policy and procedures during all interactions.
- Assist with admissions/treatment as per agreed protocols.
- Communicate medical results to patients under clinical supervision.
Medical Receptionist Requirements:
- Associates, Bachelor’s degree (advantageous).
- 1 year experience at a healthcare facility in a Medical Receptionist role (preferred).
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, ICD and CPT coding (highly advantageous).
- Innovative thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
- Strong organizational, administrative and planning skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations.
- Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.
- Excellent documentation, communication and IT skills.
- Passionate about healthcare excellence.

Key Experiences of a Medical Assistant;
- 1 yrs + Medical Assistant in a high volume patient environment is required (urgent care a plus)
- 1+ years experience with EMR required
- 1 yrs + Phlebotomy / Specimen collection required
- Experience with Escreen ,WC, EKG, FIT, PFT, DOT clients a plus!
Key Responsibilities of a Medical Assistant
- Phlebotomy and specimen collection
- Assist with exams and invasive procedures
- Keep patient areas clean and ready for next use
- Restock lab room, medicine cabinet, procedure cart, and patient rooms
- Determine patient needs from physician instructions
- Document and communicate studies
- Assist patients during discharge and aftercare
- Familiar with EMR, WC, EKG, FIT, PFT, DOT and Escreen
- Assisting the Front Desk with registration, patient flow, charting, patient exams
Shift: 12 hour shifts (rotating 8am-8pm weekdays & 9am-9pm weekends)
