Hiring in Austin, TX starting ASAP for a duration of 6 weeks. Specialty Rehab Detox Unit. Detox Clinic. Shift Monday through Friday.

Gross Pay– Package $27 hour; guaranteed 36 hours per week for 6 weeks. Position has the ability to be extended. Must have an active license. Experience in detox setting is preferred. Immediate start.NoteCure Staffing is needing this position filled ASAP

Description Detox nurses have the responsibility to provide quality, effective and safe care for clients with substance abuse disorders during their detoxification. Substances of abuse may include alcohol, opiates, benzodiazepines or any other legal or illicit substance with the potential to produce tolerance, dependency and physiological and psychological withdrawal symptoms when the abuser ceases use. Primary Job Responsibilities (This is an overview. Job requirements will be at the final discretion of the facility client.) 1. Participate in regular supervision, support and performance appraisal with the Director of Nursing, Medical Director and Clinical Director, and identify role-related training needs. 2. Ensure demonstration of a satisfactory knowledge base for safe nursing practice and act to promote and maintain safe nursing practices. 3. Follows the direction of the clinical director, medical director and program director to ensure the facility functions in accordance with relevant state, department of health and nursing legislation, and fulfill the duty of care in the course of practice and intervention when policies or practices may impede care. 4. Work within their scope of practice and competence as defined by the client, and consult with the clinical director and medical director if any problems fall outside the scope of nursing practice. 5. Carry out comprehensive and accurate nursing assessment of clients on admission and during the course of care, using a theoretical framework in the process of assessment, analyses data, and formulates nursing diagnoses. 6. Manage and provide clinical support and supervision to support staff personnel including but not limited to client-care techs and transport staff, in accordance with good nursing practice. 7. Complete daily patient nursing assessments, medication administration, and document appropriate nursing assessments and shift notes in the Electronic Medical Record system. 8. Ensure compliance with state and health department requirements to ensure consistent safe delivery of service and maintenance of quality standards
