Job description
In your new role you will:
- Create, develop and implement front end UI to SQL database accessible via modern browser interface
- Create, design and implement automated reporting solutions using tool, such as: Tableau, MS PowerBI and/or Business Objects
- Work with other team members, from business and IT groups, on large reporting projects
- Be assigned daily/weekly tasks, related to automated and manual reporting requirements, by the manager
- Speak with/email business colleagues to understand their needs
- Update support documentation, in order to support business requirements

Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:

Recently graduated (within 1 year of grad date) with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Current, Senior level students will also be considered -
Prior internship experience with related tasks - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of database systems analysis and design
- Excellent time management skills; Ability to work independently, while managing your own time, and providing time estimates and status updates
- Comfort and ease when speaking/presenting to large groups of people either via web meeting or face-to-face
- Ability to adapt and work efficiently under pressure; Meet quickly changing business deadlines
- Ability to communicate easily and proficiently in English (verbal & written), and in a professional manner
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products or related software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) is ideal
- Any hands-on experience or training with SQL database management, experience connecting to external RDBMS databases like SQL or ORACLE via web interface, or experience with enterprise reporting tools (Tableau, MS Power BI and/or MS PowerBI) is a plus, but not required
- Additional experience with other database programs and/or past job/internship experience with similar and related skills: DBA, administrator, software engineer, database architect, business systems analysis, is a plus
- The ability and reliability to successfully work remotely. This position will start as a remote internship, due to current Covid restrictions.
