Position Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst is a key business partner with RPS business segments and reports financial status by preparing and analyzing financial plans, forecasts, and reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead business partner with field operations to provide support and analysis to a business segment through information analysis (e.g. current processes, actual performance vs. budget and prior year, budget, etc.), preparation of operational data/analysis for publication to various constituents throughout company (Management, Sales, Operations, etc.) who rely on/benefit from the information to make informed business decisions.
  • Lead proper recording of revenues and expenses by understanding and working effectively with the operational teams of the business segment.
  • Determines financial status by comparing and analyzing budgets and forecasts with actual results and monitors variances from plan. Investigate variances and identify trends and recommend actions.
  • Increases productivity by developing automated processes/applications; eliminating manual processes and duplications; coordinating information requirements.
  • Collaborate with business partners and develop monthly forecasting of revenue and expenses.
  • Key stakeholder in the development of annual operating budget
  • Key stakeholder in development and collaboration with business partners on annual dominant priority strategy document.
  • Other regular finance duties and ad hoc reporting and analysis
  • Back up to team members on finance/accounting related tasks.

Required:

  • Requires bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline and 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Very Strong PC and Microsoft application skills

o Excel expertise required (pivots, V-lookups, macros)

o General ledger experience a plus
