MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464 or eligible to practice nursing in accordance with Florida Administrative Code 210-8.22 or 8.27 and at least two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.

DESCRIPTION

This is a professional nursing position at Sunland Center, an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF-ID) residential facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The Senior Registered Nurse will utilize the nursing process to deliver general nursing duties to residents for episodic, chronic, urgent, and emergency needs. The Senior Registered Nurse will be a member of the Interdisciplinary Team in the planning and provision of active treatment to residents for rehabilitation and/or maintaining skills.

EXAMPLES OF WORK

  • Responds to special directions and instructions during emergency operations.
  • Provides health care, first aid, and immunization.
  • Observes patient s skin color, dilation of pupils, and computerized equipment to monitor vital signs.
  • Records patient s medical information and vital signs.
  • Prepares patients for and assists with and/or performs examinations.
  • Orders, conducts, interprets, and/or evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient s condition.
  • Discusses cases with physician.
  • Informs physician of patient s condition.
  • Maintains stock of supplies.
  • Monitors the quality of care or standards of practice to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT:
