Dynamite Nurse/Executive Director (Escondido)

A growing senior living company is hiring a SUPERSTAR to act as both Head Nurse and Executive Director at an RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly) in North San Diego County near the I-15 and highway 78 exchange.

Responsibilities include:

– Managing an experienced staff of nurses and caregivers in a facility with up to 100 residents.
– Running all aspects the business, including operations, financials, and marketing.
– Fostering a positive working/living environment for staff and residents through leading by example, being available, making regular rounds, inspiring the best in staff and seeing that everyone’s needs are met on an ongoing basis.
– Creating and maintaining trusting relationships with resident’s families.
– This position is not an exclusively administrative office job. Director will be out engaging with residents and staff throughout the day as well as making visits to other communities.

The following qualifications are a must:

– LVN or RN with 5 or more years’ experience in SNF/RCFE industry.
– Excellent geriatric clinician.
– Bilingual Spanish/English.
– Magnetic leader with a BIG heart — must truly care and love residents like family.
– Exemplary attention to detail.
– Adept critical thinker with the ability to multitask.
– Experience running a business or willingness to learn.
– Excellent manager and teacher who demands respect and inspires staff to perform at the highest level.
– Clear communicator with polished inter-personal skills.
– Flexible and willing to accept challenges and opportunities when they arise with a positive and eager attitude.
– Attentive and action-oriented.
– Exercise patience at all times with residents and staff, especially while under stress.
– Accessible 24/7.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Current RCFE license. If not currently licensed, must be willing to obtain license quickly.
– Live close to the facility or in the available on-site accommodations.
