WICS NewsChannel 20, located in Illinois’ capital city of Springfield, is searching for two energetic and engaging evening news anchors to complete our weekday morning and evening anchor teams. In addition to the typical duties of a news anchor, we are looking for two journalists who are eager to head into the field and break hard news investigative stories. Our anchors are also expected to help mentor and grow younger staff mentors, write and edit copy, and lead the way in digital and social media. The ideal candidates are newsroom leaders who thrives on breaking news, field anchoring, and winning the big story.

Experience:

• Considerable live breaking news demonstrated on their reel and live commercial television experience
• At least 5 years of on-air experience at a commercial television station is preferred
