MEMORY CARE PROGRAM DIRECTOR (morgan hill)

We currently seek a highly motivated GENERATIONS PROGRAM DIRECTOR with great customer service and genuine compassion to oversee our memory-care community. Specific responsibilities for this Position:
• This is a regular, full-time position and does require some weekend work.
• Will be hiring, supervising, training and performance managing department staff
• Scheduling and ensuring adequate staff in accordance with policies, budgets and regulations
• Conduct and oversee the completion of all assessments and administering medication
• Act as a care supervisor and resource person for residents and their families
• Promote and help create the positive reputation of our community
• Ensure all federal, state, local, regulations and policies governing resident care are closely monitored and carried out.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• LVN (Preferred, not required) license in the State of California with at least three to four years of working nursing experience, one year managing staff and one year working in a dementia type environment.
• Experience working in a “social model” (or have a willingness to adapt) rather than a “medical model”.
• Have had experience in a leadership role with dementia (either long term care or assisted living) care environment or have had healthcare experience – strongly preferred.
• Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience managing staff with diverse personalities either in the nursing field or a non-nursing environment within the last five years.
