Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center is currently looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab – Days The Registered Nurse in the Diagnostic Imaging Department has a dynamic and varied role. The major goal of the Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse is to provide quality nursing care to the patient in the Imaging Department, ensuring patient privacy and dignity. Skills utilized in his/her job performance include patient assessment, communication, patient teaching, organization, independent motivation, and autonomy. The nurse will primarily function as an Interventional Radiology recovery nurse for special procedures, the role will also assist the primary IR nurses in the organization of the scheduling outpatient procedures, accumulating all information required to complete procedure, and the documentation required to maintain standards. The nurse will also be cross trained to function in a nursing capacity in general diagnostic imaging, special imaging procedures, nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance imaging, mammography, radiology oncology, Interventional procedures under; ultrasound guidance, Computerized tomography guidance, and Fluoroscopy guidance. The nurse will also train to assist the radiology oncology nurse during low census. Experience: 2 years, special procedures, ICU or telemetry experience preferred, but will train. Qualifications:. Current licensure with Texas State Board of Nursing, ACLS, BLS. BSN Degree in Nursing, Basic Dysrhythmia course. Experience preferred: Cath-lab, Interventional Radiology, and Radiology Oncology
