Radiation Oncology Nurse

A not-for-profit acute care facility located in the Maryland/DC suburbs is currently looking for an experienced Radiation Oncology Nurse to provide nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy treatments.
 
The Radiation Oncology Nurse performs physical examinations within prescribed guidelines and instruction of physician; carries out physician’s orders for diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs; records physical findings, formulates plan based on a patient’s acuity, discusses case with physician and other health care professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan and evaluates outcomes.
 
Education and Experience Required: 

  1. Graduate of an approved professional nursing program.
  2. BSN preferred
  3. Licensed/currently registered to practice in the State of Maryland as a Registered Nurse.
  4. Certification or actively pursuing certification with the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) preferred
  5. Certification in CPR required
  6. One year of oncology nursing experience
