Lorain School Based Therapist

Bellefaire JCB is looking for a full time Lorain School Based Therapist to provide comprehensive mental health assessment, individual and family counseling to children and their families, including group therapy, play therapy; parent guidance; referral information and advocacy as needed.

Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and demonstrate ability to work with diverse groups of people possessing various strengths, aptitudes and abilities. Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using Agency computer systems and software as required to perform essential job functions. Command of the Spanish Language a plus. Practical and creative problem solving skills. Culturally competent knowledge of diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, family systems, systems and methods in family therapy, group therapy, child psychotherapy, and adolescent psychotherapy. Experience with children, adolescents and families is helpful. Knowledge of Children’s and Family Mental Health system. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the underwriting criteria of the Agency’s insurance company.

Bellefaire JCB’s Elyria satellite office is located just 20 minutes from downtown Cleveland.

Candidate must have Master’s Degree in Social Work, or Counseling. Valid Ohio LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC.
