STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

HR Position Functions

Assist in the recruiting, hiring and on boarding of new employees including screening and ad placements and scheduling potential hires for additional interviews

Ensure all materials and equipment are available for new hires fielding calls, submitting documents and requests, follow up with potential hires and new hires

Coordinate and prepare for new employee orientation including verifying credentials, references and conducting criminal background checks

Prepare new hire paperwork

Update employee phone and extension lists

Assign in-services and coordinate quarterly in services

Maintain personnel files by ensuring credentials are in compliance with local, state and federal guidelines (professional license, CPR, auto insurance, social security and and state ID), notify and give reviews to directors and supervisors

Track attendance

Support management with basic administrative functions

Respond to government entity requests, escalating to the Senior HR or Office Manager as appropriate

Process employee terminations in a timely manner to help protect the integrity of information

Maintain and distribute new hire and termination reports

Maintain company records and ensure that all documentation related is current, notifying managers and supervisors as needed

Qualifications

Soft Skill Requirements

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Compassionate and caring attitude and the ability to deal with people from a wide range of backgrounds, ages and temperament.

Ability to use discretion concerning sensitive information and adhere to HIPAA.

Ability to work on own initiative within clearly defined parameters.

Ability to carry out designated tasks including reporting outcome of actions taken.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to maintain the trust of the staff and address issues in confidence with management

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

2+ years of experience dealing in a home health care setting

2+ years of administrative experience, exposure to HR a plus

Knowledge and experience of relevant software applications and reporting requirements

Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills
