Camp Nurse

Pay Status: Exempt
Expected Hours: Minimum 40 hours/week
Dates of Employment/Start Date: June 11, 2019 – August 3, 2019
Reports To: Camp Programs Director
Housing Available: Yes Our ideal candidate will focus on the following essential duties and responsibilities: Attend to the illnesses or injuries of both program participants and staff; Supervise and maintain high standards of health and safety, and follow Risk Management policies in all activities; Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications to program participants and staff per written protocol at designated times; Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration and illness/injury care delivered to campers and staff per written protocol; Report illness, injury, and abuse to proper authorities when necessary per written protocol; Manage all documentation and protocol in relation to California State Child Care Licensure; Maintain a watchful presence to the overall wellness of campers and staff; Work directly with the Director,
EMS, fire department, and hospital, either by phone or in-person, when needed to attend to the illness/injury of a participant or employee; Maintain, clean, and stock the Health Center, and purchase first aid supplies when necessary; Track and maintain all Amplify medical supplies; Attend and participate in camp programming when available; Attend and facilitate all staff meetings and trainings as assigned; Attend meals in the Dining Hall as assigned; Abide by and uphold the policies and procedures set forth by Amplify Other duties as assigned.
