KBC is searching for a Production Systems (KPS) Intern to join our KPS Department for 2019.

Job Description

Located in Westminster, Maryland, Knorr Brake Company (KBC) is a manufacturer of Braking, Door, and HVAC systems for the Mass Transit Rail Industry. KBC is division of Knorr-Bremse, AG a Munich Germany based global leader in the design and manufacture of Brakes, Doors, HVAC, and on-Board OEM systems, aftermarket spare parts, overhaul & maintenance services for the Mass Transit Rail.

Major responsibilities of the position include the following:

  • Support KPS department with daily KPS activities – update KPS Team boards, 5S audit tracking
  • Support Quick Kaizen and Rewards & Recognition Programs
  • Support KPS / Process Improvement projects and activities, Support for Value Stream Mapping, Visual Workplace Enhancements

Education and Experience:

  • Current College student preferably studying Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, and/or General Engineering.
  • GPA 3.0 or higher.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Methodology knowledge preferred
  • CAD experience preferred

This is a paid internship.
