Job Summary

Assist the pharmacist in daily pharmaceutical care by preparing
medications in a complete and timely manner and in accordance with policies and
regulations.

Job Description

Essential Functions:
● Assists pharmacists in
the preparation and distribution of medications.
● Labels and packages medications
appropriately. Prepares medications in a timely manner to expedite delivery to the patient.

● Operates automated technology (Pyxis, carousel, compounders, etc.) in accordance
to department standards and expectations.
● Performs aseptic compounding of
parenteral admixtures and other sterile dosage forms with the appropriate aseptic technique.

● Completes billing within the appropriate time frame assuring accurate charges
with correct date of service.
● Participates in the training of new pharmacy
employees.

Additional Requirements

Required:
Education – High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies, and Graduate degree in Pharmacy
Certification – Certified Pharmacy Technician – South Dakota Board of Pharmacy

Preferred:
Experience – 1+ years of Healthcare Experience; 1+ years of Pharmaceutical Experience; 1+ years of Retail Experience

Physical Requirements:
Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
