Job Summary:
Hyperion is a leading innovator in physiological testing to evaluate stress associated with athletic performance. Information is obtained from an oral fluid sample evaluated for biomarkers at the company’s laboratory in San Antonio, Texas. The company’s technology is used by professional athletic organizations in the US. Testing enables physical trainers and human performance scientists to develop individualized strategies to recover from the stress of training and competition. Our patented fatigue test measures fatigue arising from lack of sleep, physical exertion and poor diet. Fatigue testing may help persons understand their levels of fatigue and implement strategies that reduce it over time.
Hyperion is looking for physical trainers, personal trainers, coaches, nutritionists, physical therapists, human performance scientists and athletes interested in using the technology in their work and documenting their experience. Persons with a strong background in the biological sciences, including kinesiology and physical therapy, are preferred. If you work in any of these areas and understand what a biomarker is, we would like to hear from you.
We are interested in individuals, teams and competitions involving many people. We are interested in evaluating recovery following athletic injury. Test collection kits and test results will be provided at no cost. Stories may be in the form of videos, writing, and photos. It is anticipated that between 5 to 20 hours of work per story will be required.
Compensation will be negotiated on a task (story) basis. The professional will work with the company to define the story before proceeding, be responsible for all phases of execution without oversight of the company, and will be treated as an independent contractor, paid as a consultant (IRS form 1099) not be eligible for any benefits.
