Job Responsibilities:

– FAMILIAR WITH CMS 1500

– INSURANCE VERIFICATION
– Collect co-pay/insurance cards, copying required information.

– Billing

– Organizing all received payments and check if they were properly paid. If not, follow up with payers until the payments are corrected

– Uses knowledge of insurance carriers and procedures that require waivers to obtain authorization if needed prior to appointment.

– Credentialing with insurance companies, HMOs, and IPA groups

Job Requirements:

– At least 1-2 years experience working as medical front desk and/or administrator

– Experience as an insurance biller or claims examiner in the medical insurance industry moves you forward

– Experience with Private Insurance, HMO’s and Workers Compensation

– Available to work > 6 hours a day

– Basic computer skills needed

– Ability to multi-task

– Great communication skills and excellent phone demeanor

– Positive attitude
