Regional Orientation Nurse (RN or LPN) Greenwood-Indianapolis Region -CarDon Corporate – Cardon & Associates – Indianapolis, IN

CarDon and Associates is now seeking a Regional Orientation Nurse (RN or LPN) for our Greenwood and Indianapolis Region. Weekly pay and great benefits!

The Regional Orientation Nurse must be a licensed RN or LPN with recent clinical experience with an ongoing and enthusiastic interest in creating educational programs that address the unique issues associated with care of the aged in a long-term care setting.

BASIC FUNCTION: The Regional Orientation Nurse will provide clinical training and EHR access for nurses, certified nursing assistants (CNA), and qualified medication aides (QMA). The Regional Orientation Nurse will also provide on-site education and support for assigned communities as needed. The Regional Orientation Nurse performs his/her duties in accordance with high ethical standards and in compliance with community philosophy and policies, and all federal and state laws and regulations.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, CREDENTIALS: Has current Indiana Registered Nurse or LPN license. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

It is everyone’s responsibility to demonstrate high ethical standards and a commitment to compliance with all laws applicable to licensed and certified health care communities.

The Region Orientation Nurse must be able to perform each essential function effectively to be successful in this position.

  • Prepare materials for staff orientation according to anticipated attendance of nurses, CNAs and QMAs.
  • Must be able to perform all functions of a CNA, QMA and Nurse (see specific job descriptions)
  • Ensure equipment is in good working condition and stored securely when not in use.
  • Provide training on days specified for staff training.
  • Provide job-specific access to all EHR platforms needed for each staff member.
  • Provide and assist with education/training as needed at each assigned facility.
  • Must be able to travel to all assigned communities on a routine basis.
  • Follow up with staff as needed to ensure they received adequate training or need for additional training.
  • Monitors staff performance by providing coaching, praise, or education as needed and participates in their evaluation, recognition, and discipline according to facility policies.
  • Must communicate with communities on attendance and hours of orientation
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
