Part Time Medical Receptionist/Front Desk

Wellness Center in Towson is seeking a part time, medical receptionist/front desk admin to join our team.

We are a group practice offering acupuncture and Chinese herbal therapies within the Greater Baltimore community for more than 15 years. We work together for the highest good of our patients, staff and practitioners.

If you are friendly, people-oriented, customer-service focused, can handle difficult situations with grace and professionalism, have a keen eye for organization and details, can perform all office duties to their full requirements without direct supervision, and can consistently work to improve the area and people around you — we want to meet you!

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Greeting, screening, checking-in patients upon arrival
  • Answering multi-line phones
  • Scheduling new & recurring appointments
  • Collecting, processing payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits
  • Billing and communications
  • Managing inventory
  • Ensuring reception area is clean & tidy

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree or college student
  • Prior administrative experience in related setting
  • Previous personal experience receiving acupuncture, Chinese herbs or other holistic modality preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service & organizational skills
  • Microsoft Office general proficiency (Windows 10), G Suite/Google Docs and Sheets, or high comfort level with learning new computer programs/systems
  • Flexible during weekdays; available for evenings & possibly Saturdays in the future

  • Medical office management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (Required)
