Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plans (MPI) is currently looking for Customer Service Representatives to join our Medical Review team. Our Customer Service Representatives will work directly with Participants and providers via phone on matters such as benefits, status of referrals, and requests for additional information (medical records, consultation notes, etc.).

Qualifications:
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years’ customer service phone experience required
- Experience in the medical and/or health insurance fields is preferred
- Accurate typing skills of 45 wpm and 10-key skills by touch are preferred
- Intermediate or higher skills with Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel
- Superior customer service skills
- Clear and effective oral communication skills with the ability to explain and confirm understanding of complex issues
- Pleasant and professional telephone etiquette with a clear and articulate telephone voice
- Strong written communication skills to clearly document key elements from calls
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, effectively organize time and materials, follow tasks through to completion, and deal well with changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work overtime/extended hours as required.
Responsibilities:
- Answer a high volume of provider and Participant referral inquiries by phone and email
- Make outbound calls to Participants and providers regarding the status of referrals
- Document issues and actions effectively and efficiently utilizing our internal systems
- Contact providers requesting additional information (medical records, consultation notes, progress notes and prescriptions) as needed
