JOB TITLE: Staff RN, PACU
REPORTS TO: Director, Surgical Services
POSITION SUMMARY: Directly responsible for postoperative care of the patient. The PACU nurse utilizes the nursing process to identify patient needs for continuous assessment post-surgery. The nurse is responsible for evaluating and documenting the effectiveness of nursing actions and ensuring a safe environment and continuity of care. Performs all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE : Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred. BSN Preferred. Two years of nursing experience in a critical care setting is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : Must possess a current California RN license and BLS certification required. ACLS within 90 days of hire or status change. PALS within 90 days of hire or status change.
