Tech Service Specialist

The Technical Service Specialist is responsible for taking direct phone calls from customers and sales reps regarding technical issues of our products. They are also responsible for documenting key information with every point of contact. This position is critical for representing the company by providing the highest level of technical support to our customers.

As a Tech Service Specialist at Husqvarna Construction Products you:


Provide Technical Support

  • Assist and advise on training of Service Technicians on the repair of HCP products
  • Assist with product training as needed
  • Liaison between Product Management, Customer Service, Mfg/QC and R&D on product field issues
  • Participate in the review and formulation of warranty policies and procedures
  • Participate on bi-weekly team meetings/conference calls
  • Provide information regarding technical issues for bulletins that go to internal/external customers
  • Responsible for administering or providing backup support to IPL maintenance
  • Responsible for incoming technical calls from internal/external customers
  • Responsible for repairs on an as-needed basis
  • Trouble-shoot Tech Service issues on-site and/or in the Service Center(s)
  • Responsible for documenting calls/technical issues in the CRM
  • Responsible for entering RGA/SO/Parkts orders into the AS400
  • Update individual KPI’s/Objectives Quarterly/Annually

CRITICAL FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong Product knowledge and Mechanical/Technical Ability
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and illustrated parts list
  • Knowledge of CRM, Excel, Word, AS400
  • Knowledge of CFS (Customer Focused Sales)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5 years’ previous mechanical/technical experience required
  • Post secondary technical training a plus
