What do our Pest Training Manager’s do ?

The Pest Training Manager is responsible for creating the pest training strategy, implementation and assessing its outcomes. This position will manage and develop the pest education team in their training design and execution. This position will continuously drive their training team members to challenge training processes to improve the colleague and customer experience.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Develop and implement operational training strategy for pest colleagues in each Market within RNA
  • Develop and execute process to measure effectiveness of training and pest education team
  • Manage State Specific and Non Pest Line of Business Continuing Education needs for North America
  • Ensure training is being developed and implemented for state pesticide applicator licensing exams and continuing education
  • Coordinate continuing education efforts among pest education team for Monthly Connection Meetings and 4 Standards of Service Training
  • Be an expert on all pest training programs, including the available content and where to find it
  • Strategize and direct training for new products, services and innovations
  • Strategize and direct training for integration of acquisitions

What do you need?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related Area of Study – required
  • One to Two (1-2) years of Pest Prevention or related experience – required

  • Two to Four (2-4) years of Employed in a training capacity – required

  • Read, write and comprehend written and spoken English (competency in Spanish or Canadian French a plus) to communicate effectively and professionally at all times, as well as strong presentation skills
  • Use active listening skills and empathy when interacting with others
  • Apply excellent interpersonal, analytical, and time management skills
  • Possess service orientation with desire to make a positive impact on all prospects, customers and colleagues
  • Successfully work in a team environment with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire a team with team building and continuous improvement techniques and training
  • Openly share new ideas and information with other team members
  • Work well under pressure, be resilient, and exercise good judgment in sensitive situations
  • Think critically
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously with supervision
  • Capability to organize work well and solve problems necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position

  • Proficient in Google Apps / Microsoft Office Suite 2007 or later, especially advanced skills in Google Slides /PowerPoint in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • The following systems (among others) will be used – any experience helpful ; Scheduling Database , Learning Management System, Google Apps for Work & Concur.

  • This is a full-time position. The Technical Education Manager will either report to an office and/or work remotely. This job tends to have regular office hours but may have extended hours due to time-sensitive sales deadlines and time frames. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
  • Must pass pre-employment background screen and drug test
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass motor vehicle record search
