Clinical Supervisor for Dermatology Practice

EXPECTED HOURS/WEEK: 35-40+
DAYS OF THE WEEK TO BE SCHEDULED: Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays
LOCATIONS TO BE SCHEDULED: Villanova & Collegeville; occasional off site events required
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervise Medical Assistants (MAs) during working hours to ensure smooth flow of patient care
- Train all new MAs to uphold “golden standard” of BMD
- Prepare and dispense weekly schedules for MAs
- Manage Biopsy Book/Results/Follow Ups
- Oversee MA Specialty Tasks
- Handle any escalated Desk MA issues
- Perform all duties as MA when needed
- Liaison between providers, administrative staff and MAs
- Coordinate the ordering of medical supplies including new product purchases
Required Skills and Abilities:
- 2+ years familiarity with EMR (preferably Nextech)
- 2+ years experience in a clinical role (e.g. Medical Assistant, Nurse or Patient Coordinator) within a Dermatology practice assisting with E/M visits and hands-on experience assisting in procedures (i.e. excisions, ED&Cs, biopsies, etc.)
- 2+ years experience with non-invasive cosmetic procedures (i.e. Botox, fillers, lasers, sclerotherapy, PRP, etc.)
- 1+ years of management experience HIGHLY DESIRED
- Lift 40 lbs, stand for 2 hours without sitting, work for up to 10hrs/day
- Fine Motor Control (i.e. ability to cut sutures, inject medications, draw blood)
