PLANT HELPER – Entry Level Production Worker

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Wear all required personal protective equipment and clothing
- Work safely around moving equipment and hot metal
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
- Manually stack aluminum ingots weighing 28 pounds each
- Inspect finish product to ensure quality standards are met
- Accurately weigh, record, mark and band finished product to customer specifications
- Safely operate a forklift to transport finished product to trailers or warehouse
- Perform routine maintenance and inspection of production equipment
- Assist maintenance personnel as directed during upset conditions or line malfunctions
- Perform other job duties as required or requested
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Driver’s License/Reliable Transportation
- Ability to pass a background check, physical and drug screen
- Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50# frequently and up to 100# occasionally
- Efficiently manage your time – excellent attendance is required
- Positive attitude and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to work extended periods of time in heat and cold as dictated by outside temperatures
- Forklift experience preferred, but not required
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Plant operates 12.25-hour shifts (4:45am-5pm or 4:45pm-5am) 7 days a week.
- Plant helper positions have alternating schedules 36.75 or 49 hours per week
WAGE AND BENEFITS:
- Starting wage is $18+ per hour DOE.

- We can train you to move to a different Production department. New skills, responsibility and versatility will equate to wage increases also.
- Once broad Production knowledge and skills have been mastered you could train to be a Team Lead and be in charge of an entire section of Production.
- Experienced Team Leads can become Shift Foreman and be responsible for all the employees on their shift.
