Position Summary
The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for analyzing various chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests to provide physicians with pertinent information regarding the patient’s health under the supervision of the Medical Technologist or Pathologist.
Essential Functions
- Collects specimens.
- Performs specimen analysis and other tasks and procedures in hematology, urinalysis, serology, blood banking, chemistry and microbiology.
- Reports analysis results appropriately.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field required.
Experience
- Two (2) years of related hospital experience preferred.
Credentials
- Must be certified or registry eligible for certification with the ASCP and obtain certification within six (6) months of hire.
- Must meet CLIA required personnel qualifications for High Complexity Testing.

Schedule: Full Time, Nights, 7 on 7 off
