Automotive Tech – High Performance

Position Overview:
If High Performance Automobiles are your hobby and you enjoy interacting with other enthusiast, this is the position for you! As an Automotive Technical Sales – High Performance associate, you will put your knowledge to work receiving incoming calls varying from parts installation questions to technical questions about our automotive parts either before or after they have been purchased and customers are ready to use them in their high performance projects. This is a remote/work from home opportunity. Assocaites must be able to train Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm for three weeks in Columbus, Ohio. After paid training, all work will be remote.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Fielding incoming phone calls to advise and assist JEGS customers with their high performance needs (this is not an “order-entry” position) this is working within the Tech Sales department to help our customers who have needs beyond being ready to place a catalog order.
- Listen with understanding to customer needs and be able to clearly communicate technical knowledge to produce sales.
- Keep merchandise return ration at an acceptable level.
- Troubleshoot car parts and problems with customers.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- High Performance knowledge/background.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Experience using a Computer and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience in a Call Center and/or sales environment a plus.
Sample Schedules:
Shift A
- Sunday to Thursday
- 3:30pm to Midnight
Shift B
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday
- 3:30pm to Midnight
Shift C
- Tuesday – Saturday
- 3:30pm – Midnight
