INTAKE COUNSELOR
Highland Hospital has an opening for FT and PRN Intake Counselor positions.
Shifts needed:
Weekends Overnight 7p-7a
Weekdays Overnight 11p-7a
JOB SUMMARY:
- Performs pre-admission assessments at Highland Hospital
- Screens assessment for clinical and medical appropriateness
- Works closely with business office, nursing and clinical staff as well as external parties
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health or a related field or RN.
- Working towards license preferred.
- A minimum of two years in a psychiatric or mental health setting desirable.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of the mental health field
- Experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment
- Experience in patient assessment, referral
- Precertification, and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities
Must be able to pass a background check and urine drug screen.
