This is a skilled position that will require the employee to perform any combination of the following duties within the quarry. This position involves the maintenance and operation of conveyor, screening and crushing equipment – to include welding, the operation of a front-end loader, and the operation of a Haul Truck.
Requirements:
- Must be mechanically inclined with some working knowledge of crusher and related equipment
- Must be able to cut and burn with a torch
- Assist with repairs and rebuilding of conveyors, screens and crushing equipment
- Examines parts for damage or excessive wear
- Welds broken parts, structural members and other items as necessary
- Operate Front End Loader to load haul truck, load customer trucks, feed portable plant, stockpiling and load bins
- Operate a haul truck and water truck – CDL not required, must have valid driver’s license
- Check material being loaded for quality
- Shoveling and cleaning
- Knowledge of mining equipment and their uses
- Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications
- Work will be performed per the supervisor’s instruction, and in some cases, will be expected to be performed free from direct supervision without a compromise or sacrifice to safety, and without sacrifice to, quality of work tasks
