Our state of the art, private practice provides an extensive range of personalized eye care services to patients with emphasis on primary eye care, cataract and glaucoma surgery, lasik/refractive surgery, oculoplastics, and in office cosmetic procedures. Our doctors, along with our clinical team, are dedicated to optimizing our patient’s vision and ensuring they can see their best.
Essential duties include:
Collect patient information necessary for office visit including demographics and insurance information and enter in Practice Management system.
Answer busy phone and triage calls.
Manage communication from patients in person, by phone to schedule and/ or confirm patient appointments; for 6 offices.
Checking patients in and out.
Retrieving authorizations for vision programs and checking insurances
Update information in practice management and medical record systems.
Collecting co-pays and balances, must be comfortable with collecting payments from patients.
Must be pleasant and enjoy working with the public, also be able to multi-task, have strong organizational skills and be a team player.
On occasion there might be a need to travel to one of our other offices for coverage.
Minimum qualifications
Please do not apply if you do not have medical office front desk experience!!
Minimum 3 years of experience. Ophthalmology/Optometry experience a huge plus.
Problem solver with strong multi-tasking abilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be able to function as part of a team
