Ferguson is looking for a motivated individual to fill an Area Sales Manager position for Indiana.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure coordination and exceptional service levels

  • Assigns, monitors and sets objectives for key accounts and sales representatives

  • Accompanies sales representatives on existing key accounts and large new customer calls

  • Provides leadership and input for pricing proposals and strategic plans for key accounts

  • Monitors sales trends, market dynamics, product performance results and customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts

  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of outside sales representatives to pursue prospects, promote products, offer solutions and achieve sales targets

  • Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies and guidelines to the management team

Qualifications

  • 5+ years industry experience preferred

  • Prior Outside Sales or Management experience required

  • Ability to travel throughout with occasional overnights as needed

  • Good judgment, problem solving skills, and ability to see the “big picture”

  • Handle stress, manage time and people, and analyze numbers

  • Coaching and mentoring skills necessary

  • Ability to develop budgets and execute plans

  • Experience defining customer needs and providing solutions

  • Managing, developing and train a team of associates responsible for the sales function within the branch
