Under limited supervision, collects specimens and performs clinical laboratory tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease in accordance with accepted standards and practices. Inputs data and retrieves reports from computer as necessary. Assists CLS with laboratory inventory and loading of samples for testing. Communicates clearly and professionally with clinical staff including nurses and physicians.
Requirements:
- CA license as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician.
- HS diploma or Higher Education required.
- Current Basic Life Support (CPR)certificate
- Sufficient previous experience in phlebotomy.
- Experience working in a hospital laboratory preferred.
