Assistant Nursing Manager ICU FT Nights

Saint Francis Hospital Memphis is a 510-bed acute care hospital dedicated to providing high quality, compassionate care to the Mid-South community. As a comprehensive medical center, Saint Francis Hospital Memphis features a broad spectrum of tertiary and acute care, outpatient services and specialty areas including Women’s Services, Surgical Services, Bariatric Center of Excellence and Behavioral Health. Other acute care areas include Emergency Room, Critical Care, Med/Surge and Telemetry.

Summary

The Asst. Nurse Manager is a professional nurse who manages the daily operations of a department (s)to provide services for patients while meeting quality, legal, organizational and medical staff goals.
Responsible for promoting the efficient operations to provide effective nursing care of a designated department (s).
Manages the department independently under the guidance of an Manager.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, JCAHO and the Nurse Practice Act.
• Promotes optimum health care delivery within budgetary guidelines.
• Is responsible for department(s) on a 24 hour basis.

Education

Required: Academic degree in nursing
Preferred: Bachelors or Masters degree

Experience

Required: 1 year of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a leader or full time charge nurse/related position

Certifications

Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. CPR
